Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Backhoe Operator / CWT Operator to join our team at Valicor Environmental Services at the Inkster, MI facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy equipment, specifically backhoes, and will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to environmental facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate backhoes and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Assist in the handling and processing of waste materials at the facility.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and meet project deadlines.
Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
Our Minimum Requirements:
Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment. (Excluding Forklifts)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.
Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
Capacity to provide and follow directions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a backhoe operator, preferably in an environmental or construction setting.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to operate heavy equipment in various weather conditions and environments.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.
Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
Capacity to provide and follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in backhoe operation or equivalent training.
Experience operating other heavy equipment, such as loaders or excavators.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
