  • AMERICAN SYSTEMS is on the hunt for a Senior Test Operations Engineer with experience in flight testing of military and/or civil aircraft systems to join our team supporting the NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) at Edwards AFB, CA.
  • Apply your knowledge of Operations Engineering to the specific technical tasks at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC).
  • Conduct periodic work schedule meetings with engineering and flight operations personnel
  • Develop or assist in the development of flight vehicle and UAS documentation
  • Perform airworthiness tests and analysis directed by Project or Flight Operations Directorate
  • Support and lead NASA aircraft safety processes and follow safe practices and rules contained in the Safety and Health plan
  • Perform airspace coordination within restricted airspace and National Airspace
  • Perform work in accordance with NASA ISO AS9100 procedures and applicable regulatory requirements
