    We're seeking enthusiastic high school students to be part of our summer internship program As a Shop Intern, you will have the opportunity to rotate through our Fire Protection, HVAC, Logistics, and Plumbing groups to gain exposure with various trades within our organization. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will receive hands-on training, work on real projects, and develop a well-rounded skill set that will be invaluable for your future career endeavors.

    In this role you will:

    • Rotate through different departments within the shops/warehouse gaining skills in tasks such as fabrication, quality control, supply chain management, maintenance, and customer service.
    • Assist with day-to-day operations and tasks within each department.
    • Receive training and mentorship from experienced professionals in each trade.
    • Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes, efficiency, and quality within the organization.
    • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and overcome challenges.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow throughout the internship.

    A successful candidate will have:

    • Current high school student with an interest in joining the trades.
    • Strong interest in gaining hands-on experience across various trades within the organization.
    • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
    • Ability to adapt to new tasks and environments quickly.

    Physical Requirements

    Must be capable of performing various physically demanding tasks essential to shop/warehouse operations. This includes the ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the day, as well as standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing for extended periods. Additionally, the position requires dexterity to handle fragile or delicate items with care, accurately read labels and instructions, and follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure working environment.
