General Characteristics:

• Supervises computer operations within the data center.
• Assigns tasks to staff and ensures their work performance is monitored.
• Manages daily activities to resolve problems and handle change management issues.
• Ensures production systems' online response time meets requirements.
• Maintains system availability and prepares metrics to evaluate system performance.
• Collaborates with IT groups and users to ensure service objectives are met.

Dimensions:

• Education: Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of IT work experience in computer operations with exposure to multi-platform environments. Experience in leading teams and projects is necessary.
• Breadth: Holds a first-level management position in data center operations, working under the general direction of middle-level management. Manages multiple processes within the operations area and mentors technical staff.

This role involves a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and coordination skills to ensure smooth operations within the data center environment.
