    Summary:

    The Mental Health Tech / Program Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescence. In this role you will assist children with activities of daily living, helping to maintain a safe environment and help them manage harmful behaviors. The Mental Health Tech also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process, and on-call as needed.

    Hours: 30 hours per week/ Nights (6:30 pm - 7 am)

    Required Education/Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work, or related field.
    • Education in Child Growth and development is required.
    • Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric or healthcare facility preferred.
    • Pediatric experience preferred.


    Certification/Licensure:
    • BLS must be completed within 60 days of start date.
    • CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
