Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Support the conceptual design of structures, platforms, and pipe supports using drafting and 3D design tools.
• Develop structural design criteria for standard and project-specific designs.
• Perform structural analysis for gas turbine enclosures, pipe racks, and pipe supports, including common analysis of piping and structures.
• Design welded and bolted connections.
• Issue structural drawings for project-specific applications.
• Review, control, and own structural 3D models.
• Write technical specifications as required.
• Review vendor drawings as necessary.
• Interface with various disciplines at all levels.
• Provide engineering assistance to plant construction.
• Resolve all field interference issues.
• Travel as required.
• Participate in a vendor surveillance program and assist in supplier quality assurance.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a focus on Structural Design.
• 5+ years of experience in designing industrial structures and performing structural analysis using computer software.
• 5+ years of experience in connection design.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication requirements, material selections, and writing fabrication specifications.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Eurocode.
• Familiarity with analysis software such as Bentley STAAD or Risa 3D.
• Experience in designing structures to support piping and equipment for the Power and Process industry.
• Familiarity with Bentley Open Plant.
