    Lower School Associate Teacher

    ( Starting School Year

    $30,000 Annually

    The Lower School Associate should be an energetic and flexible person who enjoys children, works well in collaboration with others, takes initiative, and is considering a career in teaching.

    Job Responsibilities:


    • Co-plan and present lessons.


    • Lead small literacy and math groups.


    • Prepare and gather materials for lessons and projects.


    • Correct student work.


    • Assist with writing and proofing student reports.


    • Supervise recess and drop off/pick up.


    • Supervise children in the After School Program (ASP).

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's Degree required.


    • Experience working with elementary-aged children.


    • A passion for learning.


    • Strong personal and interpersonal skills.

    Associate teachers may be asked to assume classroom responsibility in case of illness or the absence of the Head Teacher.

    This is a full-time, 10-month, salaried exempt position. The school year hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with summers and school holidays off.
