- Transport specimens in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Properly identifies patients and collects specimens in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Processes specimens and accurately applies appropriate barcode labels prior to delivery to specific lab departments for testing
- Performs venipunctures, finger sticks, heel sticks, assists physician with bone marrow collection, point of care glucose and iSTAT testing in compliance with regulatory guidelines on all applicable patient populations at facility and area nursing homes
- Accurately performs point of care quality control
- Accurately documents all necessary information on patient specimen tubes/containers and in Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Assist with maintaining inventory related to specimen processing
- Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues
