**Description (Overview)**

**Edwards Dessert Kitchen is re-opening** We are looking for friendly and energetic rockstar Bartenders, Servers and Counter Staff for Minneapoliss premier dessert destination in the North Loop. This positive, upscale work environment offers full-time or part-time positions suited to your availability. Positions are $16/hr + tips and full-time roles are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and 401K with company match.

Schwan's Company is hiring full-time or part-time**Servers** for our Edwards Dessert Kitchen team in **Minneapolis, MN**. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the dining room, serving restaurant patrons food and beverage while providing the highest level of service during customer interactions. This position will process payments for food and beverage. This position will be responsible for interacting with other restaurant staff in a professional and positive way to insure the highest level of food quality and service.

**Training begins April 4th for preparation of our re-opening in Mid-April** General availability is needed Thursday - Sunday.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while serving the highest quality cocktails, made-to-order specialty drinks, food and desserts for guests.

Assist patrons in the selection of food and beverages by presenting the menu and explaining the chefs specialties, identifying appropriate wines, and answering food preparation questions.

Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen by recording patrons choices, identifying patrons specialty dietary needs and special requests.

Promote additional sales through guest interactions. Asking if they would like additional beverages, food or desserts.

Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.

Clear gusts table of dirty dishes as needed.

Demonstrate ability to maintain sanitation standards set by management. Maintain a safe, clean work area by sweeping, mopping, wiping counters and work surfaces, clear dishes, washing dishes, cleaning restrooms and cleaning tables for patrons.

Assist the counter staff as needed.

Comply with and enforce restaurant and OSHA sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Interact with and build relationships with customers.

Be punctual and work quickly and effectively in high pressure situations or rush period.

Able to work early or late hours, holidays and weekends.

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

QUALIFICATIONS

**Education:** High School or equivalent

**Years of Related Experience:** 0 - 2 years of experience

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities** : Ability to operate POS equipment; Knowledge of various types of dessert and food items; knowledge of various types of wines and spirits; Ability to stand for up to 12 hours; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and sanitation; Knowledge of OSHA requirements within a kitchen; Ability to do basic math; Have strong communication skills
