- Clean on a daily basis, patient rooms, communicating in a courteous and friendly manner with patients while
performing duties as follows: - High and low dusting of all vertical surfaces
- Damp wiping of furniture
- Restroom servicing
- Remove refuse (Regulated and Medical Waste)
- Dry and wet mopping of floors or vacuum
- Spot cleans walls if visibly soiled
- Inspection/evaluation of work
- Performs discharge cleaning as per Housekeeping policy and procedure manual.
- Performs daily cleaning procedures in support areas e.g. corridors, utility rooms, pantries, nurses stations, treatment areas according to patient room procedure noted above.
- Gather on a daily basis, necessary supplies and equipment to perform job functions assigned and maintain equipment in an acceptable manner.
- Perform floor burnishing of floors
- Perform wall washing
- Perform moving of heavy & light equipment
- Perform cubicle curtain changing
- Perform window cleaning
- Perform carpet bonnet or extraction shampooing
- Perform upholstery cleaning techniques
- Strip and refinish floors
- Perform cycle cleaning of surgical suites as per Housekeeping policy and procedure manual
- Ensures delivery of excellent customer service resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores for the department and Medical Center.
- Constantly stooping, bending, stretching, lifting, pulling, pushing and turning.
- Frequently lifts objects from 10 to 100 pounds.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
