    Description:

    RxSight® is a leading ophthalmic medical technology company based in Aliso Viejo, California. It is known for introducing the innovative adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) post cataract surgery. The company's vision is to transform the premium cataract surgery experience by enabling surgeons to collaborate closely with patients to achieve optimal outcomes for each individual.


    OVERVIEW:

    The Data Analytics Engineer will directly report to the Senior Manager of Data Analytics and will play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing advanced data analytics solutions to enhance RxSight's manufacturing and operational processes. The ideal candidate should be proficient in utilizing Azure cloud services, specifically Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage Accounts, and Databricks, to efficiently handle data workflows and pipelines. Proficiency in MS Fabric, SQL, Python, and Power BI is crucial for generating optimized reports and dashboards offering actionable insights.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Data Management and Storage:
      • Maintain and optimize data storage solutions, such as Azure SQL Database and Azure Data Lake, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
      • Set up and manage Azure Storage Accounts, configuring and securing data storage according to best practices and business needs.
    • ETL Operations:
      • Utilize Azure Data Factory for designing, implementing, and managing robust ETL pipelines supporting data integration and transformation processes efficiently.
      • Utilize Databricks for handling complex data processing tasks, ensuring scalability and performance of data analytics operations.
    • Data Reporting and Visualization:
      • Develop efficient Power BI reports and dashboards by combining various data sources, ensuring high performance and user accessibility.
      • Apply advanced data modeling techniques in Power BI to improve report functionality and interactivity, meeting diverse business requirements.
    • Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
      • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external clients to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
      • Work with technical and non-technical teams to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of BI solutions.
    Requirements:

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Technical Expertise:
      • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage Account, and Databricks.
      • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
      • Expertise in creating and optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards.
    • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
      • Strong ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
      • Strong problem-solving skills focusing on efficiency and optimization.
    • Communication Skills:
      • Outstanding communication skills to effectively communicate data insights and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • None

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience in data analytics, particularly in a cloud-based environment.
    • Completion of training as per the training plan for this role stored in the document control system.
    • Completion of training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy, and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics within 30 days of joining and annually.
