Job Description

As a Security Officer - Flex Patrol Rounds in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will support access control, observe for unusual activity, document findings, and communicate clearly with onsite personnel and visitors. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or public responders as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas and/or yard, noting unusual activity, open doors, damaged fencing or lighting concerns.

Monitor access points and vehicle entry areas as assigned, verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors and/or delivery drivers and directing traffic flow when needed.

Document patrols, incidents and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate shift activity during post transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
