    Job Description

    Purpose & Scope:


    The Lead PACS Analyst is a pivotal leader within the healthcare IT team, responsible for overseeing and managing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) with a strategic and innovative approach.

    This leadership position involves managing a team, strategic planning, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PACS, fostering collaboration across departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, integrating a deep understanding of radiology workflow and clinical experience.

    Preferred experience with reporting, monitoring system performance and reliability, and possessing a profound understanding of the system architecture of a PACS system.

    The Lead PACS Analyst brings specialized expertise in PACS administration, strategic planning, imaging center construction projects, emerging technologies in imaging, team management, clinical experience in radiology, proficiency in reporting functionalities, and a comprehensive knowledge of PACS system architecture.

    This role requires full time onsite presence as well as supporting 24/7 operations with a team of PACS analysts.

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or related field.
    Master's degree preferred.

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in PACS administration, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of medical imaging processes and standards.
    • Proficiency in PACS software and related technologies.
    • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning within a healthcare IT context.
    • Expertise in integrating emerging technologies in medical imaging.
    • Previous experience in team management, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Hands-on clinical experience in radiology. Previous licensure as a radiology technologist preferred.
    • Preferred experience with reporting functionalities.
    • Comprehensive understanding of the system architecture of a PACS system.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
