    Description
    Performs difficult or simple mig welding of metal parts.

    Work requires knowledge of the welding properties of a variety of metals and alloys and knowledge of the welding equipment so as to obtain the proper penetration and fusion strength.

    Interprets shop drawings and blueprints and operation tickets and holds work to close tolerances. Must be able to use the necessary welding jigs. Must be able to set machine for type material to be welded. Must observe proper safety precautions while welding. Should meet production standard output under only general supervision on or before end of progression period. Requirements Requires 1 year+ experience and/or combination of experience and technical training/certification.
    Must be able to do mig welding while meeting safety, quality, and productivity requirements. Must be able to read rule, blueprints and instructions. Must indicate talent, desire and ability to acquire necessary skills and knowledge of required techniques and procedures. Skills demonstration required.
    Maximum weight to lift normally to 60 lbs., peak of 75 lbs.

    Wear required PPE at all times:
    Safety glasses, welding shields, steel-toed safety shoes, & gloves.
    Follow 6S procedures, participate in preventive injury exercises, and comply with all job related work instructions.
