    Open year round, the Inn is a five-minute stroll from Chatham's charming Main Street and within a short drive of all Cape Cod has to offer.

    The Waterfront Manager is responsible for managing the operation of the Chatham Bars Inn Waterfront including the swimming pool facility and private beach.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure that all safety equipment is functional and inspected as necessary
    • Setting up and breaking down all seasonal Equipment, furniture and cabanas
    • Ensure all pool regulations & guidelines are followed and enforced
    • Maintain a good understanding of the facility's mechanical system and its components
    • Maintain water quality; provide proper disinfection & water balance
    • Keep proper records
    • Train and supervise staff including beach & pool attendant, supervisors, bath house porters, waterfront porters & gate attendants
    • Ensure the staff understands what is expected of them and that they have the proper tools to do their jobs successfully
    • Perform all staff duties including, but not limited to, renting cabanas, setting beach umbrellas & chairs, cleaning pool restrooms, towel service, end of day clean up and reset
    • Resolve guest issues promptly
    • Administrative tasks including, but not limited to, scheduling, payroll edits, gratuity reports, purchase orders and daily revenue reports
    • Control access to the swimming pool & private beach to ensure hotel guest use only
    • Work closely with the Fleet Captain to ensure the boating activities on the waterfront are running properly

    Qualifications:

    • Two years of management experience
    • Current certification in CPR & First Aid
    • Must possess a valid driver's license
    • Must be an energetic and personable leader
    • Must have strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and well under pressure
    • Able to multi-task in a busy environment, one where interruptions are expected
    • Ability bend, crouch, stoop, climb, twist and lift and move up to 60 lbs
    • Able to stand for long periods of time
    • Must be flexible with schedule and work weekends and holidays
    • Intermediate computer skills required as department involved three operating software programs
