    **Description**

    Under the general guidance of the Materials Manager, the Senior Buyer is responsible for acting as a strategic sourcing and subject matter expert for assigned categories within production materials and packaging, as well as identifying new sources of supply that can be leveraged and optimized by the business and will align with Marvin approved vendors. The Senior Buyer makes sound business decisions with little or no direction with a full understanding of market trends, market analysis, and the supplier negotiations process. The qualified individual must have a solid understanding and demonstrated ability to complete analysis of assigned categories by producing relevant metrics and generating iCIMS reports as well as the ability to make sound business decisions. The Senior Buyer will work in a collaborative team environment and is responsible for maintaining positive business relationships with both internal and external customers. This position also is responsible for providing guidance to less experienced Purchasing Staff while encouraging teamwork and leading by example, including role modeling our Marvin values.

    **Responsibilities:**

    Lead the Purchasing Department with the assigned purchasing duties for purchased parts stock replenishment and maintaining Min/Max levels of

    Monitor purchased parts reports and place orders as necessary to ensure stock levels are maintained for the

    Warehouse and Production to meet daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.

    Analyze, assess, and diagnose potential material shortage issues for root causes and alert all relevant department leaders in a proactive way, using strong written and oral communication skills to get ahead of the issues and recommend solutions and alternatives.

    Review and update material costs, min/max levels, reorder points, and vendor lead times for all commodities to ensure stock levels are maintained for the Warehouse and

    Perform customer service duties internally with Production and Warehouse associates and externally with suppliers when placing orders, checking order status, handling returns, and solving invoice

    Use ICIM purchasing system for all relevant activities including the placing of orders for production purchased parts and/or

    Assign new part numbers to "Requested to Stock"

    Follow up with suppliers for delivery updates on open PO's.

    Other duties as

    ** Requirements:**

    5 or more years of applicable Purchasing experience and Inventory experience, specifically in identifying parts and working with Warehouse and Production associates

    Proven work experience with suppliers and understanding of purchasing and invoicing processes

    Bachelors Degree from an accredited university

    At least 5 years of experience utilizing an ERP system (Buying, Researching, Reporting & Analysis, etc.)

    Computer experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc. a must. Experience with ICIM and Surefire a plus

    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

    Excellent communication skills with proficiency in oral and written English; bilingual in Spanish a plus

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines

    Available to work extended hours during the week and on weekends as needed
