    Position Title: Staff Registered Nurse

    Copper Ridge is recruiting for a nurse to fill an RN role in a skilled nursing facility setting. The charge nurse is a staff nurse position that has direct care responsibilities as well as supervising responsibilities. We are looking for clinicians who would like to combine their love for people and strong work ethic with the opportunities to advance your career.

    Duties:

    Observe and monitor residents' health and assess their needs to provide quality care

    Work with physicians to create individual care plans and assist them during required operations or procedures

    Maintain complete healthcare records and reports including PCC being utilized according to best practices.

    Supervise, manage, and assist in training CMA's and GNA's on staff

    Perform routine procedures as needed, including administering medication and injections, and provide emergency medical care when necessary

    Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the facility

    Collaborates with DON in maintaining adequate staffing coverage

    Effectively utilizes existing manpower to limit the amount of overtime/agency needed to support staffing

    Assess work performance of nursing staff while on duty ensuring timeliness in services to our patients/residents

    Maintain security of the facility, creating an environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and responsive to the needs of our staff, patients, and their families

    Monitoring nursing care to reduce hospitalizations and ensure positive outcomes.

    Encourages shift to shift communication between incoming and outgoing nursing staff.

    Reviews prospective Admissions in relation to existing nursing capabilities and ensures readiness to treat.

    Ensure that patient's attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the patient health condition.

    Investigates patient/family complaints and takes appropriate actions to bring to resolution.

    Requirements:

    Current state RN

    BLS/CPR certification

    In-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines

    Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills

    Experience supervising GNAs and CMAs in a nursing home setting
