The Registered Nurse (RN)participates as primary nurse, associate nurse, a team member orteam leader in the planning and implementing of patient care. TheRegistered Nurse (RN) directs and assists in carrying out safeaseptic technique and procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) offersleadership and direction to all support staff withindepartment.
Located just minutes from the shoresof Padre Island, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital CorpusChristi-South provides surgical and medical services for ourpatients in south Corpus Christi. Perfectly positioned to serve therapidly-growing south side of Corpus Christi, CHRISTUS SpohnHospital Corpus Christi - South is licensed for 158 beds. Southoffers a full range of medical and surgical services includingpediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, intensive careas well as advanced diagnostic and imaging. The hospital is alsohome to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which enablesrecovering mothers to remain close to their premature or specialneeds babies.
Responsibilities:

• Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, providesnursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment,diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assignedpatients

• Using theappropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments;monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatmentprescribed
