- Manage and execute cultivation strategies emphasizing yield, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work alongside cultivation, propagation, and processing managers to foster teamwork and achieve production goals.
- Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for propagation, growth, and harvest stages.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align cultivation strategies with sales projections.
- Work to minimize costs of goods sold (COGS) and enhance working capital for improved gross margin and cash flow.
- Optimize environmental controls, irrigation systems, and nutrient delivery to promote optimal plant health and growth.
- Communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor facility performance, including safety, output, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, customer satisfaction, and ensure strong adherence to the company's ERP system.
- Support business case ROI and cost/benefit analysis for process improvement initiatives, including automation and expansion.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA compliance within cultivation operations.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards to ensure a safe and compliant cultivation environment.
- Monitor changes in compliance requirements and adjust cultivation practices accordingly.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on compliance status and performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to foster innovation.
- Explore and implement new cultivation methods, genetics, and techniques to maintain competitiveness.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to drive innovation in cultivation processes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in cannabis cultivation or related industry
- In-depth knowledge of various cultivation methods, genetics, nutrient management, and pest/disease control.
- Experience with a variety of growing mediums (soil, hydroponics, etc.) and cultivation techniques (indoor, greenhouse, etc.).
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory guidelines within the cannabis industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis and utilizing insights to drive operational improvements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with multi-state cannabis operations.
- Familiarity with sustainable and organic cultivation practices.
- Cannabis-related certifications or training.
- Schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business (Nights, Weekends, Holidays included).

Job Title: Cultivation Manager
Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000

Position Objective
The Cultivation Manager oversees and optimizes all aspects of cannabis cultivation operations. This individual provides technical expertise, operational guidance, and profit/loss responsibility to manage the growth and development of high-quality cannabis products. Collaborating with a diverse team, driving innovation, and upholding compliance standards within a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry are key components of this role.
