    Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead their HVAC and Plumbing Engineering and Design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, extensive experience with Autodesk Revit and Tres Software, and a proven track record of leadership in the HVAC and plumbing engineering field.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the HVAC and Plumbing Engineering and Design team.
    • Cultivate a positive work environment that promotes a good old boys culture, including lots of joking, light-hearted banter, after-hours meetups, and golf outings.
    • Utilize Autodesk Revit and Tres Software for controls, sustainability, and performance contracting.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of internal Company standard "Specifications" in adherence with code compliance.
    • Build and maintain relationships with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors/vendors.
    • Participate in conceptual design sessions for specific projects and prepare preliminary design layouts for estimating.
    • Provide technical leadership in the development of high-performance, low-energy design solutions.
    • Support all estimating efforts to ensure thoroughness of scope and intent.
    • Oversee detailing to ensure cost-effective layout of systems.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
    • 5+ years of experience with Autodesk Revit Software.
    • 5+ years of experience with Tres Software (or competitor for load calculations).
    • 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD.
    • 5+ years of leadership experience in HVAC and Plumbing Engineering and Design for commercial and/or industrial projects.
    • Experience building relationships with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Strong understanding of code compliance and specifications.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Lead Certification.
    • Experience providing technical leadership in developing high-performance, low-energy design solutions.
    • Experience overseeing recruiting and internship programs.
    • Familiarity with Blue Beam Software.

    Salary: $220-$260K
