    Title: Physical Therapist – Inpatient Acute Care/Rehab
    Location: Sumter, SC
    Duration: 13 Weeks
    Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide inpatient acute care and rehabilitation physical therapy services (40 hours/week).

    • Perform comprehensive evaluations, reassessments, discharge planning, and develop individualized Plans of Care with short- and long-term goals.

    • Treat post-op, general ortho, pediatric ortho, spine, adult neuro (stroke, Parkinson's, MS), and vestibular diagnoses.

    • Deliver therapeutic exercise and activities, gait training, neuro re-education, manual therapy, dry needling, IASTM, vestibular interventions, and patient/family education.

    • Administer modalities including cryotherapy, moist heat, ultrasound, TENS, E-stim, iontophoresis, cervical/lumbar traction, and phonophoresis.

    • Perform strength testing, ROM (AROM/AAROM/PROM), pain assessment, sensory response, skin integrity checks, vital sign monitoring, breathing techniques, and cardiopulmonary interventions.

    • Utilize adaptive and assistive devices (crutches, walkers, gait belt, sliding boards, wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics, specialty beds, lifts).

    • Perform lifting and transfers; ensure safety and injury prevention.

    • Document evaluations, assessments, reassessments, goals, discharge summaries, billing (Medicare A/B, Medicaid, Commercial, Workers Comp, Private Pay).

    • Manage daily census of 10–12 patients across adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

    • Float as required to qualified units.

    • Complete required pre-assignment testing and modules.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 year inpatient acute care experience (Rehabilitation hospital experience preferred).

    • Lifting and transfer competency required.

    • BLS certification required.

    • EPIC EMR experience (minimum 1 year).

    • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions).

    • First-time travelers accepted.
