    Job DescriptionSalary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually

    Description

    The Senior Accountant will oversee all accounting and treasury functions for the company as the sole individual in the accounting department. The position will interface with various departments of the company including the HR Director, and inbound and outbound cash processing teams. This position reports directly to an owner of the business.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
    • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations
    • Input daily accounting entries to Quickbooks based on the company's operating system GL export.
    • Import and classify all banking activity daily.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts daily to ensure trial balance accuracy.
    • Work with other team members to resolve outages and ensure accurate reporting.
    • Facilitate the company's treasury management, including providing reporting to lenders and preparing advance requests to ensure adequate cash on hand for operations.
    • Manage all vendor payments.
    • Complete the month end process and prepare monthly financials statements for management.
    • Work with management to facilitate annual budgeting process and present quarterly updates to the budget.
    • Work with management and outside audit firm to facilitate annual financial audit, tax return preparation, and 1099 distribution.
    • Work with management to facilitate lender exams.
    • Oversee other office management functions to include ordering supplies.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills (phone interaction and peer to peer)

    Qualifications

    • This position is open to applicants with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
    • 2-3 years of General Ledger Accounting experience including financial statement preparation.
    • Proficiency in Quickbooks
    • Resourceful – knows how to find solutions quickly and economically.
