    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

From vehicle loans and unsecured loans to credit cards, share secured loans, and HELOCs, your expertise will ensure that we continue to offer top-notch financial solutions to our members.

    Production and Quality Goals: You won't just be setting targets; you'll also be responsible for achieving them. Your role includes ensuring that our production volume goals are met while maintaining high loan quality standards in line with our credit union's philosophy and criteria.

    Risk-Based Pricing: Your expertise in risk-based pricing will be pivotal in recommending credit tiers that balance risk and opportunity.

    Portfolio Oversight: You will monitor and analyze portfolio performance to identify trends and develop action plans to manage emerging risks. Your analytical prowess will be put to the test to ensure our lending operations remain robust.

    Efficiency and Automation: Continuous evaluation of consumer lending processes and workflows will be in your domain. Enhancements through system improvements, automation, and reducing manual processing will be your strategies for success.

    Financial Stewardship: In this role, you'll be accountable for setting and monitoring financial targets to maximize revenue and profitability while upholding all risk management standards.

    Marketing Mastery: You will manage, coordinate, and monitor loan sales activities and programs to achieve marketing objectives and meet budgeted loan goals across product lines.

    Procedural Precision: Your role includes ensuring that consumer lending operations strictly follow established procedures and policy guidelines.

    Training and Development: Fostering the growth and professional development of your team will be a key responsibility. You'll ensure that the staff is well-trained in all consumer lending functions and promote cross-training for adequate coverage.

    Network Builder: Maintaining a wide network of contacts within and outside the credit union will be crucial for resolving major problems, negotiating significant issues and agreements, and achieving key objectives.

    Branch Monitoring: You'll keep a watchful eye on branch lending operations, identifying training needs, performance improvements, accuracy, and member service standards.

    Underwriting Authority: You'll evaluate, assign, and document underwriting authority for all consumer lending loan officers.

    Data-Driven Reporting: Your role will require preparing monthly and quarterly reports as required by management and the board of directors.

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. business, finance, accounting, marketing, etc.) is preferred.
    • Fifteen (15) or more years' experience in a similar or related field, including a minimum of ten (10) years of consumer lending management experience required for this position.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • In-depth knowledge of HELOC and consumer lending, encompassing various vehicle lending types, personal lines of credit, credit cards, direct and indirect lending programs, credit scoring, credit prescreening, DMV processes, collateral protection insurance, risk management, portfolio analysis, and product marketing.
    • The ability to monitor and analyze changes in the consumer lending marketplace and develop and implement appropriate short and long-term business solutions.
    • Proficiency in credit union operations with the ability to integrate and communicate critical information effectively.
    • Strong management, leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to develop, challenge, and motivate staff.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills, self-driven, innovative, and a team-oriented mindset.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
    • Experience with Symitar and Lending 360 preferred.

    NOTE: The pay range is listed as $137K - $229K, but target base compensation will not exceed $150K not including incentives/bonuses.
