Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Sterile Processing Supervisor, the Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments, and the cleaning of patient care equipment.

Provides excellent customer service. Actively participates in quality and process improvement initiatives.
Ensures accurate documentation of the sterilization process and actively reports abnormalities to leadership.
Participates in proper receiving and reprocessing activities related to loaner and consignment sets.

Under the direction of the department Educator, may serve as preceptor to new staff or OR staff cross training to Sterile Processing.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Job Requirements

Preferred Job Requirements
~ CRCST or CSPDT or CST certificate
