    As a Quality Assurance Manager on our Global Quality team you will have functional responsibilities as a global Quality Engineer, as well as Managerial responsibilities of our quality assurance technicians at Fluke's headquarters in Everett, WA.

    You will provide quality engineering and continuous improvement leadership to the operations, engineering, and quality organizations.

    You will be responsible for employing advanced quality engineering tools and the Fortive Business System tools in partnership with design and sustaining engineering, procurement, supplier quality, and operations to achieve continuous improvement in product safety, reliability and cost of quality as well as process safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Analyze product quality and cost of quality data and lead problem solving activities with other engineering resources to drive sustained improvements.
    • Support the development and implementation of quality and reliability best practices and process improvements in new product development and operations.
    • Perform impact and risk assessment on nonconformance, deviation, field action and complaint investigation.
    • Conduct DFMEA and PFMEA activities including training, facilitation, review, and approval.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives through review of design and process changes, as well as verification & validation plans/reports for sustaining activities.
    • Oversee new product pilot runs and ensure issues and concerns are documented and resolved.
    • Partner with Business Units and Operations to define and deliver the optimal results for Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
    • Partner with internal and external customers to refine and improve quality system tools and processes.
    • Participate in and lead kaizen events to achieve targeted improvements.
    • Support stop ship activities, internal audits, and other quality functions, as needed.
    • Manage the OSP RMA team of quality assurance technicians, responsible for processing returns, evaluating defective product and rework projects.


    Develop capabilities within the OSP RMA team of quality assurance technicians and continuously refine and build process strength to support the organization in achieving established objectives.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
    • Minimum 3-5 years in an engineering role in support of quality improvement
    Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 (ISO 9001:2015 a plus)


    • Experience with Advanced Quality Engineering tools such as Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), GD&T, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Mistake Proofing/Poka-Yoke, statistical sampling
    • Six sigma and/or lean continuous improvement skills preferred
    • Previous people management or leadership experience a plus
    • Project management skills a plus
    • Strong communication, leadership, and influence skills required
    Everett, WA:

    The salary range for this position is $91,655 - $170,085
    This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
    Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to:

    job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
