    The Director, Portfolio Management, will be a key part of the Development team, reporting to the Chief Development Officer. The Director will lead the Development Operations team, which supports the growth and maintenance of a world class renewable energy development organization.

    The Director will gain unparalleled perspective on how a renewable energy company operates. This includes a high degree of exposure to senior decision-makers, including direct support of the Chief Development Officer. The role is situated in a rapidly growing team, company, and industry, providing high potential for advancement. Professional growth is a priority, which will supercharge the Director's development.

    The Development Operations team sits within AES Clean Energy's Development organization with the goal of enabling project developers and Development leadership. This includes budget management, pipeline management, operations improvements, and team development activities. This role also works with teams outside of Development, including Finance, Engineering, Commercial, among others.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Team Development
    • Lead the Development Operations team, including setting priorities, overseeing the team's projects, and ensuring professional development
    • Lead Development leadership calls with the Chief Development Officer
    • Oversee planning of team meetings, including in-person events
    • Manage the creation and maintenance of Development-specific onboarding and training
    • Operations improvements
    • Identify, design, gain approval, and launch process improvement projects with technical and change management expertise
    • Serve as Development representative for multi-functional process improvement initiatives
    • Budget Management
    • Lead annual Development budgeting, including coordination, analysis, and presentations
    • Pipeline management
    • Lead pipeline management activities, principally pipeline data stewardship, analysis, and reporting for the team, corporate leaders, and Investor Relations
    • Manage annual development goalsetting, tracking, and forecasting

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel; additional data analysis software experience a plus
    • Qualifications
    • Undergraduate degree
    • 10+ years of experience; consulting and/or renewables development experience preferred
    • Willingness to work in the Louisville, CO office 3+ days per week
    • Willingness to travel; anticipated travel is 5-20% of time

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $ and $221.000/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
