    THE POSITION:

    We are looking for a talented, energetic, metric driven, qualified professional to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the procurement of a wide variety of commodities, materials, supplies, equipment, and services, many of which require the application of complex procurement standards and procedures. The Senior Buyer position is responsible for the timely planning, scheduling of receipt, and inventory control of the products and services consistent with material planning and inventory control requirements. The Senior Buyer has a high level of procurement experience and is responsible for high dollar volumes, complex products, and supplier relationships.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Process purchase orders with our suppliers to meet required quantities and due dates for our workrooms within constraints of agreed upon supplier pricing and terms and conditions, along with confirmation of supplier receipt and acceptance of purchase orders.
    • Resolve problems with supplier delivery dates, receipt transactions and invoice discrepancies, along with managing the communication and fulfillment of credit reimbursement from suppliers.
    • Maintain accuracy of ERP purchase order data, including items, quantities, due dates, special instructions and terms and conditions.
    • Assist Purchasing Director in developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures, and best practices in order to execute an efficient and effective procurement process.
    • Evaluate, manage, and communicate vendor performance of key deliverables such as delivery, quality, service, cost, and compliance
    • Provide resolution and communicate status updates for supplier deliveries or quality issues to internal customers.
    • Review, analyze, and interpret Material Resource Planning reports and data from procurement models and a multitude of various sources to influence and drive decision making
    • Maintain awareness and understanding of departmental and organizational priorities and key deliverables and how buying decisions impact those deliverables.
    • Process RMA requests with vendors in a timely manner
    • Ability to work independently and self-manage assignments and projects.
    • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management.
    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, supply chain, statistics, industrial engineer, operations or other relevant field.
    • 6+ years experience in manufacturing environment.
    • 8+ years experience in procurement, planning, and sourcing.
    • Proven proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
    • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel - filters, pivot tables, data manipulation and graphical representation
    • Advance analytical & negotiation skills - ability to identify and analyze problems to provide an actionable solution
    • Ability to handle multiple vendors & priorities with minimal supervision under challenging conditions
    • Detail oriented and highly organized
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
    • Excellent time-management skills and strong decision-making abilities
    • Experience with both domestic and international vendors
    • Must be flexible, adaptable, and resourceful and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
