    Job Description

    We are seeking a Logistics Specialist at the Air Force Research Lab, Edwards, AFB, CA.

    ASRC Federal requires a highly motivated Logistics Specialist to support the ASTROS Contract as an Associate Logistics Analyst. We are looking for someone to support a very busy test location on the logistics side of testing. The successful candidate will support Purchases, track Purchase Orders, perform QA/QC functions and perform research on vendors and pricing always ensuring the lead and on-site managers are aware of progress and manage any other logistics support.

    Role/Responsibilities:
    • Understands the Logistics schedules and ensures product and material will be on-site or notifications are made to on-site leadership. Manages schedules to include (scheduled and unscheduled) calibrations, including documentation per AFRL policies and guidelines.
    • Must be able to learn the ASRC Federal Acquisition system and quickly function in it.
    • Understand the Quality Control and Quality Assurance
    • May serve as an alternate for the AFRL mobile equipment account. Ensure equipment used for transportation of personnel is monitored, tracked and maintenance completed.
    • Oversees and maintains kitting process for upcoming system buildup.
    • Complete job walks for onsite services.
    • Is able to express thoughts in a clear concise manner both orally and written; ability to communicate well in person, over the phone and through E-mail.
    • Ability to respond to changing business requirements and priorities.
    • Review all Bill of Materials for the Purchasing Process.
    • Coordinate deliveries of all shipments for the Test Area supported.

This position is offering apayrange of $54,000 - $75,000depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.     Requirements
    • Must have computer experience.
    • Must have experience with Quality Control and Quality Assurance and track associated documents.
    • Maintain inventory that receives Preventative Maintenance Inspections and Calibrations and ensure all items stay in compliance.
    • Participate and ensure all Quality reviews occur on Work Authorizations for the area.
    • Able to follow through with a purchase request to purchase order and receipt of material.
    • Good oral and written communication skills and analytical capabilities required.
    • Must have a valid CA driver's license.
    • Work may also require being around moving machinery and equipment.
    • Attendance is critical at all times during normal duty hours. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice.
    • Must be willing to work outdoors at times when weather can be extremely cold or extremely hot.
    • Job requires working at different elevations.
    Education/Experience:
    • HS Graduate or Equivalent
    • 2 years of related experience.
    Clearance:
    • Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
    Other Essential Functions:
    • Must be able to understand and follow instructions.
    • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
    • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and demonstrate leadership that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
