    Structural Engineer

    Structural Engineer shall apply their expertise in engineering principles to design, develop, analyze, and oversee the construction of safe, efficient, reliable, and economical onshore and offshore structures such as Modular Buildings, Equipment Support Frames, and other mobile structures, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations, design codes and standards, and current industrial practices to meet the project objectives.

    The ideal candidate will have a solid backgroundand working knowledge in Structural Engineering with experience using Revit, ABAQUS, and Staad Pro Design software.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Carry out detailed structural analyses such as lifting analysis, transportation analysis, in-place analysis, dynamic analysis, fatigue analysis, blast analysis, structural connection design calculations, etc., for modular buildings and structures for various projects.
    • Design of civil foundations, anchor bolts, base plates, etc.
    • Lead and oversee the design and analysis of complex structural systems, ensuring that they meet safety, performance, project specifications, building codes and regulatory requirements.
    • Act as a primary point of contact with clients, providing technical expertise, addressing client concerns, and ensuring project goals are met.
    • Provide technical guidance and expertise to junior engineers and designers, mentoring them in structural analysis, design, and engineering principles.
    • Review and optimize structural designs to minimize material usage, reduce construction costs, and improve sustainability.
    • Review and identify potential risks and hazards related to structural design and construction and develop mitigation strategies where required.
    • Review and evaluate client's comments on structural engineering drawings and calculations.
    • Review and optimize detailed technical reports, including structural calculations, design documentation, and analysis results prepared by third-party design consultants.
    • Work closely with the Sales/Estimation and Proposals Team to provide structural material estimates during bidding.
    • Coordinate with other discipline engineers' part of the project to ensure that structural designs integrate seamlessly into the overall project without any inter-disciplinary clashes.
    • Organize, conduct, and attend technical clarification/evaluation and progress review meetings with Client/Third-party Design Consultants, project management, and fabrication team regularly for the smooth progress of the project and flawless transfer of relevant engineering information/instructions.
    • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including design changes, correspondence, and project records.
    • Stay current with industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies through ongoing professional development and training.
    • Develop expertise in specialized areas of structural engineering, such as blast resistance and thermal analysis of steel structures.
    • Generate and/or respond to RFI's for the project and accurately review submittals.
    • Understand the proper scope of IFA and IFC level documents and deliver appropriate documentation.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

    • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, 5+ years of related experience in industrial design preferred.
    • Professional Engineer license (P.E.) is highly preferred.
    • Proficient in computer analysis and design software such as Revit, ABAQUS, STAAD and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, including AISC, ASCE, and AWS codes
    • High awareness of safe working practices in the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases of oil & gas facilities
    • High level of understanding of modular construction for process facilities
    • Proficient in reading and understanding architectural, mechanical, and structural drawings.
    • Working knowledge of detailed engineering contractor 3D software/tools and AutoCAD
    • Good organization and communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing priorities. Possesses problem-solving abilities.
