    The Office of the Director at CVIOG is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) who is self-motivated and adaptable.

    As a GRA, you will be given the opportunity to participate in many functions of the office and to personalize your experience through collaboration and communication with divisions across CVIOG.

    The GRA will meet the requirements for acceptance into the Graduate School at the University of Georgia and be duly enrolled as a full-time graduate student (12 credit hours) upon employment.

    The assistantship is a 13 hours/week (maximum) commitment for each semester. The assistantship can be renewed for a second semester to cover the full academic year.

    A monthly stipend and tuition remission that is consistent with the rate established by the University at the time of the appointment will be provided.


    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support the Director's Office by working on various strategic initiatives.
    • Design and build data visualizations and reports in Microsoft Power BI and/or Smartsheet for the Institute's Leadership Council.
    • Research best practices and collaborate with the Assistant to the Director for Strategic Initiatives on how to better quantify the impact of CVIOG and better tell its story.
    • Consult on projects to enhance effective communication with diverse audiences and key stakeholders.
    • Support and elevate the CVIOG student employee experience.
    Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies


    • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Power BI and other data visualization software
