    Experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED)

    Location: Springfield, OH Area

    Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher

    We are actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers (SPED) for a full-time role with schools in the Springfield, OH area. If you are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and meet the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
    • Certification: Valid Ohio teaching license in Special Education.
    • Experience: Previous experience in a special education setting is preferred.
    • Skills:
      • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
      • Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs.
      • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff.
      • Proficiency in behavior management techniques.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
    • Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with disabilities.
    • Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Collaborate with other educators, administrators, and parents to support student development.
    • Assess students progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and performance.
    • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
