IonQ is at the forefront of this technological revolution. The salary range for this position is $133,046 - $174,192.We are looking for a Staff RF Control Electronics Engineer.

    As a Staff RF Control Electronics Engineer, you'll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world's best quantum computers to solve the world's most complex problems.

    You will design and validate high performance Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs) for laser control, including low phase noise RF synthesizers GHz), phase-lock loops, AGC loops, power amplifiers (1- 5 W), Mixers, Switches and laser amplitude/frequency stabilization systems.


    Responsibilities:


    Expert in RF / Analog circuit design, test and optimization up to 15 GHzDetailed knowledge of RF/Analog and mixed-signal design techniques including synthesizer design, mixers, amplifiers, PLLs, low phase noise VCOs, filters, etc.

    Perform RF engineering design tasks, including requirements analysis, specification generation, component selection, simulation, schematic capture, and board layoutDesign, simulate, and test analog and digital phase lock loops for RF synthesizers and laser frequency/phase locksDirect workflow of PCB designers to assure superior RF performance of layoutsYou'd be a good fit with:

    At least five years of technical experience in RF/Microwave engineering and circuit design of synthesizers and phase locked loopsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or other relevant technical degree from an accredited universityExperience using AWR Microwave Office simulation software or similarExperience in creating complete schematics for controlled RF modules using a schematic capture tool like Altium Designer (preferred), OrCAD or PADSYou'd be a great fit with: Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or other relevant technical field.

    At least ten years of technical experience in RF/Microwave engineering and circuit designExperience in designing plugin modular RF cards for PXI, VMA or VPX standardsUnderstanding of EMI, EMC, ESD standards and implementation.

    Familiarity with Electro Optical Modulators and Acousto Optical ModulatorsKnowledge of I2C, Verilog, microcontroller, FPGA is a plusOur HQ is located in College Park, Maryland and we are a 15 minute metro ride from Washington DC.

    We are actively building out our recently opened manufacturing and production facility in the Seattle, Washington area.

    Depending on the position, you may be required to be located in Washington DC, Seattle, Washington or the Toronto, Canada area.
