- Lead and develop a high performing team in support of current & future talent needs within the accounting function
- Development and maintenance of GAAP and Statutory based accounting polices and procedures
- Development and maintenance of the internal control environment, ensuring on-going compliance with key internal control procedures
- Production of complete, accurate, and timely GAAP and Statutory based financial statements, including consolidations and financial based regulatory compliance reporting
- Provide various financial analysis as needed in support of current or planned business objectives and strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or business with 10 years of directly related experience
- Experience must include significant participation in leadership roles within a property & casualty insurer
- Working knowledge of reinsurance contracts and their accounting implications
- Working knowledge of Federal income taxation of property & casualty insurers
- Advanced knowledge of technology used by insurer businesses and/or financial systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards
- Experience working in a challenging, fast-paced, team environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Oracle Fusion financial applications
