    Senior Network Engineer

    We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a networking stack for distributed unmanned systems. As part of our team, you will lead the integration of emerging networking capabilities, bringing new hardware and software products into our family of systems.

    The successful candidate will have extensive experience with networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols. They will also have expertise in secure communication protocols, such as IPSec/MACSec, and ad-hoc mesh networking. Additionally, they will be skilled in network modeling and simulation tools and frameworks.

    In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to lead networking requirements decomposition, defining success in the face of ambiguity. You will design network laydowns and configurations decomposed from complex design reference missions involving large-scale unmanned systems and forward-deployed C2 systems.

    You will design, implement, deploy, and troubleshoot system networking solutions focused on Layer-1 (Physical), Layer-2 (Data), Layer-3 (Network), and Layer-4 (Transport) of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) reference model, meeting and exceeding industry-standard security goals. You will own systems end-to-end, identifying and solving networking problems between the seams, scrutinizing system performance, making trade-offs, and delivering outcomes.

    The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or a related field, with 7+ years of experience in industry-standard cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), CI/CD tools, and software infrastructure fundamentals (networking, security, distributed systems). They will be proficient in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Rust for analysis and simulation. They will have demonstrated proficiency in the application of engineering standards into engineering processes or requirements.
