    Essential Job Functions:

    • Lead the talent acquisition effort for the location and partner jointly with hiring managers in defining role requirements, recruitment strategies, candidate selection, reference checks, and background screening.
    • Process new hire paperwork, create and develop onboarding experience that engages and integrates new employees into company culture and goals and manage the full employee lifecycle after that.
    • Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations; administer corrective actions and performance improvement plans.
    • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management
    • Ensure compliance of employment practices and the payroll department per federal, state and local laws.
    • Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices, and procedures to employees and managers.
    • Build an effective benefits communication strategy and measure its results.
    • Performs annual audits of key practices and maintain documentation and records for personnel files including current job descriptions
    • Audit compliance I-9s and to all EEOC complaints; oversee the coordination of training and employee engagement efforts; represent the organization at any unemployment hearings.
    • Plan and coordinate onsite and offsite events and activities, as per management directives.
    • Take on Ad-hoc projects

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
    • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
    • Minimum of 5+ years human resources experience in a generalist role or higher
    • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws that affect HR policies and procedures, including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, I-9, and other regulatory and compliance laws.
    • Excellent critical thinking, project management and organizational skills.
    • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
