    Supervisor, Environmental Services - Environmental Services

    St. John's Regional Medical Center

    We are currently seeking a Supervisor for our Environmental Services team who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day operations of the housekeeping department within a healthcare facility. The Supervisor, Environmental Services will ensure that the facility is clean and safe for patients, visitors, and staff, and will lead a team of housekeeping staff to achieve high levels of cleanliness and customer service.

    Responsibilities

    • Selects trains and evaluates staff.
    • Establishes and maintains department staffing and schedules ensuring appropriate number of qualified/competent staff are available while maintaining cost effective staffing mixes and patterns.
    • Ensures staff maintain facility with a high level of cleanliness and that department guidelines are followed.
    • Monitors bed discharge cleaning needs and ensures that discharge beds are cleaned in a timely manner and with a high degree of quality.
    • Monitors daily equipment use cleaning and maintenance to ensure that all equipment is maintained in an appropriate working condition.
    • Maintains department quality improvement program and oversees the quality of service delivered ensuring that units are survey ready at all times
    • Supervises the departmental inventory and allocation of resources as appropriate and ensures these follow hospital guidelines

    Qualifications

    • Minimum three (3) years environmental services experience
    • Associate's Degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience

    Pay Range

    $ $36.61 /hour
