Description
Outstanding opportunity for two Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Medical Oncologists to join CaroMont Health, a not-for-profit health system that serves as the dominant provider of inpatient and outpatient services in an expanding service area, which includes Gaston, Lincoln and Cleveland Counties in North Carolina; York and Cherokee Counties in South Carolina; and a growing segment of the western half of metropolitan Mecklenburg County in North Carolina.
CaroMont Health employs nearly 3,900 healthcare professionals with a medical staff membership of 450.
One position is for a staff Hematologist and Oncologist while the second is for an experienced Physician eligible for Medical Directorship.
Primary responsibilities include:
Medical oncology / hematology full-time clinical practice assessing 10-15 patients per day practicing with a newly developed team of oncologists and other specialists.
Clinical care both inpatient and outpatient focused on patients with benign and malignant diagnoses and care for general oncology patients.
Participation in cancer conferences, staff education and continuing medical education efforts.
In addition to other responsibilities, the physician will guide processes that achieve improvement in the quality of patient care through evidence-based clinical practices and promote best practices in an integrative oncology model of care.
