    Contract Speech Language Pathologist Assistantfor school year

    ProCare Therapy is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year with a supportive district located in Parachute, CO. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct support to students with communication disorders or delays.

    Caseload:

    • Full time: hours per week
    • Monday - Friday
    • Hours: 8:00- 3:30
    • 3 school sites
    • K-12th grade caseload
    • Supporting district SLP's with caseload

    Responsibilities:

    • Conducting assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students. Administering standardized tests and informal evaluations to gather information on communication abilities.
    • Collaborating with the SLP to develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
    • Implementing therapeutic activities and interventions to address communication goals.
    • Providing direct therapy to students individually or in small groups. Using various techniques and tools to improve communication skills, including speech sounds, language development, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
    • Regularly monitoring and documenting students' progress in meeting communication goals. Communicating with the SLP to adjust treatment plans as needed.
    • Working closely with teachers and parents to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments. Providing guidance and strategies for supporting communication development outside of therapy sessions.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
    • SLPA license in Colorado
    • Previous school experience is required
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

    • 10 15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
    • 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
    • Offer is typically within 24-48hours of the virtual interview
