    Description

    John Elway Chevrolet on Broadway is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic Trainee to join our team.

    Estimated salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist diesel technicians in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines and related components.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of parts.
    • Help diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Clean and organize the workshop and tools.
    • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
    • Assist in the ordering and inventory management of parts and supplies.
    • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Basic knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
    • Previous experience or training in diesel mechanics is preferred.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
    • Valid driver's license.
