    Description


    Our client, a private equity fund manager headquartered in the Century City section of Los Angeles, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing finance team.

    This is a newly created role.

    The senior accountant will work with and assist the CFO in all aspects of fund and management companyrelated accounting and reporting duties.

    This position will have significant interaction with various teams at the client. Accountants will be able to work from home on Fridays.


    Responsibilities:
    Monitor reimbursable expenses (coding funds/deal & running expenses for deal team)

    Create and maintain fixed asset schedule and respective depreciation and amortizationAssist with the review of quarterly financial statements for Funds and prepare GPs financial statementsRespond to LPs requests that are not supported by the Fund Administrator and maintain contact changes for Limited PartnersAssist with the review of call and distribution schedulesComplete various filings and reports not supported by fund administrators (bank compliance, regulatory compliance filings)Complete waterfalls and financial analysis of companys results, including variance and trend reporting when neededReview general ledgers prepared by Fund AdministratorsSupport in the firms annual tax preparation and Audit needsSupport compliance related initiatives and reportingAchieve a high level of collaborative business partnership with the business and peersPerform ad-hoc projects and/or other tasks assignedRequirements:

    Bachelors degree in accountingAbility to adapt quickly, learn new tasks independently and multi-taskHighly organized, strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressureAbility to work well with others and in team environment2 to 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in private equity, venture capital, or public accountingCPA certification preferredSolid accounting knowledge and skills including GAAP accounting and reporting.
