    What is the job about?

    Grundfos Pumps Manufacturing is looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Fresno, CA facility.

    This is a technical position in the Maintenance Department. As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for maintaining the uninterrupted operation of the machinery in the production area. Tasks will be completed with supervision as required.

    This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and will work on-site in our Fresno, CA plant.

    Your main responsibilities:

    • Active proponent of Grundfos safety programs and processes. Shows responsibility for personal safety and the safety of co-workers.
    • Responsible for keeping the production machinery running smoothly.
    • Perform Preventive Maintenance, repairs, overhauls on equipment.
    • Ability to perform minor welding and fabrication assignments.
    • Actively participates in Total Productive Maintenances such as clean and restore projects on equipment under the direction of the Maintenance Mechanic Lead.
    • Modifies machinery according to engineering and manufacturing changes.
    • Installs production equipment; assures that it is operational and within safety standards.
    • Conducts special projects for production management.
    • Determines solutions to technical problems.
    • Improves processes by generating new ideas, concepts, or methods that add value to the organization.

    Your background

    We imagine that you have:

    • Working on or completed Maintenance Mechanic Certification, training in skilled field such as electrical or industrial.
    • Skills related to safety and quality.
    • Flexibility, such as working different assignments, shifts, departments, working overtime, etc.
    • Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to use a personal computer (database, spreadsheet, internet, and word processing).
    • Ability to work in a team environment and interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
    • Ability to perform equipment diagnostics.
    • Ability to draw conclusions and take appropriate action based on a broad knowledge base.
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
    • Ability to use problem solving techniques.
    • Ability to plan, organize and implement technical projects to support production.

    Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.

    The starting pay for this position is $21.73/hr. Actual pay will depend on skill set, experience, and location.

    Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Fresno, CA.
