- Conduct comprehensive assessments of neonates, including physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with attending physicians.
- Perform essential procedures such as resuscitation, intubation, and catheterization.
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to guide patient care decisions.
- Prescribe medications, including phototherapy, antibiotics, and nutritional support.
- Provide ongoing patient education and support to families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in neonatal care through continuing education.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialization.
- Current National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB).
- Valid Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a Level III NICU setting.
- Strong clinical skills in neonatal assessment, diagnosis, and management.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and critical care environment.
