    DESCRIPTION

    Contract-to-hire opportunity: Engineering & Construction client is looking for a Project Cost Analyst with 4+ years of cost analysis & cost engineering experience. Candidates with banking, manufacturing, or construction experience will be considered.

    This position will start as an on-site role for the first month or two. After that period, this will be a hybrid role--working in-office Tues-Thurs; working remotely Mon and Fri).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work with 5-6 project managers concurrently to support projects in various phases of design and construction.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain external and internal cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.
    • Report accurate updates to cost reports or forecasts.
    • Responsible for ensuring quality checks and inspections on project control deliverables.
    • Ability to compare schedules to financial data to ensure consistency of project timeline.
    • Ability to integrate schedule data and other data sources in Excel via formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.
    • Analyze project control reports, present findings, and provide recommendations to the project controls team.
    • Ensure budget tracking against Purchase Orders or Subcontracts.
    • Responsible for the review of upstream (prime contract) / downstream (PO & subcontract) change orders.
    • Manage integrated data from one program to another.
    • Responsible for ensuring quality checks and inspections on project control deliverables.
    • Serves as a point of contact for technical questions from APMs, PMs, Lead Engineers, or Construction staff.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or business from an accredited program.
    • 1-10 years of related project cost experience.
    • Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically and make quick and sound decisions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
    • Experience with SAP preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to travel. A valid drivers license is required.
