    ARU#Registered Nurse (RN)# # $10,000#Sign On Bonus*SUMMARY:# This position is filled by a registered nurse who, as a result of educational and in-depth clinical experience in Cardiac nursing, possesses the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide excellent nursing care; applies expert knowledge as a patient advocate, role model, and leader; coordinates the care of patients within ARU patient population.

    Ensures quality focused and cost effective care delivery outcome; utilizes theory, research, and specialized knowledge to plan care for the post-operative patient; functions within a collaborative practice to enhance quality of care; interprets, evaluates and communicates research findings; and participates in continued learning and quality improvement activates.

    Responsible and accountable for direct patient care for assigned patients in ARU and participating as a member of the nursing team.

    Responsible and accountable for the care given to the patient and for the decision regarding which nursing tasks can be safely delegated to licensed and unlicensed persons involved in patient care.

    Must be proficient in a wide variety of high level nursing skills. Responsible for adhering to all standards to of nursing care and promoting a team effort among coworkers. Responsible and accountable to know, own, and energize the vision, mission, values and standards of the hospital.



    JOB REQUIREMENTS Education:

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.# ADN required.# BSN or MSN preferred.


    Licensure:
    Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing


    Experience:
    Minimum of one year acute care nursing

    # Certifications:

    BLS required, ACLS within the first three months of employment


    Safety Sensitive Designation:
    # This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following:

    Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions.# Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat and twist up to or exceeding 8 to12 hours during shift(s).

    Occasionally requires lifting of 50 pounds or more of equipment.# Able to push in excess of 150 pound wheelchair with patient and equipment.

    Occasionally lifts patients with assist 125 pounds or more. Spends eight hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations of CPR and obtaining equipment.

    Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.#

    Has a keen sense of hearing and keen visual acuity to respond to critical changing patient situations from actual observations and/or equipment alarms.

    May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals) and infectious diseases.

    May have to function around prisoners or mental patients.
