- Executing all accounting-related activities with direct oversight of the accounting team by consolidating tasks, delegating, empowering the team, and advocating for others while managing their efforts.
- Assist the Operations team in maintaining and developing new processes as it relates to Accounting and Finance.
- Maintain accounting software, training, accounting systems, and compliance.
- Build and maintain detailed financial reports to support short and long-term strategic planning.
- Regularly present analysis and reports to leadership.
- Review financial reports and determine methods to reduce costs.
- Maintain accounting system and General Ledger for all entities.
- Review accounts payable and vendor management.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- File Sales & Use and Amusement Tax with city, county, and state for all entities.
- Contribute to department budgets.
- Provide necessary information for external auditors.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Lead month-end and year-end close process.
- Proven experience as an accounting manager.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- Experience with Restaurant365 and Toast preferred.
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant / CPA preferred.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure that finance and the other departments are in sync and working toward common goals.
