    What you'll be responsible for:
    - Delivering physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to individuals spanning across different age groups.
    - Collaborating with the physical therapist in crafting a rehabilitative care plan with achievable objectives based on a functional assessment.
    - Educating patients, families, students, staff, and the wider community.
    - Coordinating services with other medical specialties and providing recommendations as required to facilitate a comprehensive rehabilitative journey.
    - Engaging in Performance Improvement and Risk Management initiatives.


    Requirements:
    - Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program endorsed by the American Physical Therapy Association.
    - Possession of current certification or eligibility for certification from the State of New York Education Department.
    - Proficient oral and written communication skills and effective time management.
    - Preferably, certification in BLS for Health Care Providers.



    Work environment and risks:
    - Clinical environment with Exposure Class I involving routine or potential contact with blood, bodily fluids, secretions, or excretions.
    - Exposure to communicable diseases and physical injury risks.


    Physical Demands:

    Heavy work:
    - Involves continual and repetitive movements such as heavy lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing, prolonged walking, and standing.

    Compensation:

    Pay Range:
    $32.30 per hour
    Compensation is determined by experience, skills, and educational background. Positions exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will receive a salary equivalent to the stated hourly rates. The pay scale may vary based on location.
