    The Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking an experienced network administrator to assist in designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining corporate networks.

    This position will require in-depth knowledge with configuring and securing multi-layer switches and firewalls, in addition to managing VPNs. The selected candidate must be able to respond, identify, and remediate any issues related to network availability or performance.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Assist in designing, configuring, and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs
    Monitor assigned network devices and systems to ensure high availability, optimum performance, and security
    Recognize, troubleshoot, and solve connectivity problems
    Implement and adhering to controls within compliance frameworks (i.e. NIST , NIST
    Assist system administrators and cyber team personnel with security and connectivity
    Plan and assist with the day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and security upgrades
    Follow established IT policies and procedures to audit switches, routers, and firewall to ensure compliance
    Follow industry and company best practices

    Required Qualifications:

    8 years of experience with a working knowledge of multi-layer switches, routers, firewalls, network protocols, and encryption
    Understanding and ability to implement security best practices
    Experience in planning and implementing physical layer infrastructure
    Willing to periodically perform system maintenance outside of core hours
    Able to work independently and as part of a team
    Strong work ethic, ability to focus on results, and demonstrated reliability in following through on commitments and assignments
    Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
    Must be a US citizen


    Preferred Qualifications:
    BS Degree in a related field
    Working knowledge Cisco, Juniper, and other multi-layered switches.
    Industry certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, PCNSA, etc.)
    Working knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
    Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
    Working well under pressure (i.e. a critical system is down)
    Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in all interactions
    Active Security Clearance
