Responsibilities
Working in our engineering department enables you to immediately support design and development on multiple product lines
You will also have the opportunity to use your ingenuity and be challenged to create new products for specific applications
Work with outside sales staff to support sales growth of territory, coordinate activities with all functions within the Company for Distribution/OEM customers and field representatives
Responds clearly, promptly and courteously to distributors, OEM and Field Sales inquiries regarding price and delivery; limited technical assistance; quotations follow up and order status
Sends assembly instructions and customer drawings as required
Reviews vendor managed accounts with our key customers
Responsible for filing data entry and other general office tasks
Provides required weekly status reports to key customers
Provides back up service for the other Customer Service Representatives as required
Accomplishes other special projects as directed by Customer Service Supervisor
Builds team relationship with field service and all other Amphenol staff
Process orders into order entry system
Responsible to follow up on critical orders
Reviews all confirming order and notify customers in writing of any discrepancies
Performs reconciliation activities for assigned territories as required
Handles customer complaints and processes returns and credits
Alerts field staff to key opportunities and critical problems
Collects competitive intelligence, including past quotations and buy history
Qualifications
The ability to work cross culturally and cross functionally is necessary
Possessing a high degree of analytical and critical thinking, creative problem solving and strong communications is necessary
An appreciation and understanding of the value of diversity in the work place will also be required
Strong computer skills required, plus excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must have a positive attitude, dependability, proven communication and problem solving skills and PC proficiency in Windows MS Office (Excel, work, outlook) and web based application
