Job Description

Rye Country Day School is seeking a Boys' Varsity Basketball Head Coach beginning November 4, 2024. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Specific responsibilities of the position include:

Varsity Boys' Basketball Head Coach
Coaching from November 4, March 14, 2025
Development of continuity between Middle School, Junior Varsity and Varsity levels
Supervision of players
Oversight of the development and progress of each student-athlete
Communication with parents and guardians
Collaborative work with Athletic Department colleagues, Upper School and Middle School faculty and staff, and the broader school community

Desired qualifications:

Minimum of 3-years successful head coaching experience with adolescents in this age group
A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community
Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
