    Description

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Media and Communications Advisor to join our regionally based communications team. This exciting opportunity provides an opportunity to use your skills and experience to create engaging content for our internal and external audiences.

    The regional Media and Communications Advisor is responsible for managing our relationships with the media, developing content for departmental social media channels, providing support and advice to key priority projects, and contributing to the region's emergency management responsibilities.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing media interactions, have excellent writing and editing skills, the ability to develop engaging content for a range of internal and external channels, and a passion for working with others to get the job done.

    Video production skills would be a considerable advantage.

    Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification and/or experience in the media and/or communications.
  • Experience in video production would be highly desirable.
  • This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Hume Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
